French auto parts manufacturer Hutchinson Hutchinson will open its seventh plant in Poland before the end of this year.
The new work covers an area of approximately 21,000 square meters and is the core of the company's latest expansion project with a total investment of 37.5 million euros. The plant will be located in southwestern Poland, where body seal systems will be manufactured for customers such as PSA Group and Volvo.
At the ceremony, Piotr Gaska, head of the Hutchinson European Sealing Systems Division, told employees and customers that the opening ceremony on July 19 was only symbolic and did not mean that it would operate in a few days. Gaska emphasized that the new plant is designed to ease current production pressures and reduce the production burden on the sealing system and drive belts at the Rhodes plant.
At the end of the year, the new plant will be equipped with three production lines, initially employing 240 laborers and eventually increasing the number of employees to 700.
