Mr. Luo, who is full of expectations, may not know that the maturity of domestic LED lighting is not as expected. Last year, the Ministry of Science and Technology began the “10 Cities and Miles” project to trigger the enthusiasm of LED lighting, but this did not solve the technical problems.

"Two days ago, the Guangzhou Science and Technology Bureau revealed that before the Guangzhou Asian Games, the LED street light coverage of Guangzhou Road will reach 40%, adding 140,000 LED street lights. But in fact, Zhang Xiaofei stressed that due to the problems reflected in the “Ten Cities and Ten Thousand Cities” pilot cities last year, it can be said that there is currently no LED street lamp enterprise that has truly “passed through” and comprehensively solved all problems of LED street lamps. Just because LED street light technology is not mature enough, in developed countries such as Europe and the United States, LED street lights are only used in the community, or small-scale pilot projects in the main roads. However, the technical maturity and quality of LED streetlight products are in sharp contrast with the local government's investment in LED lighting.

According to the idea of the “Ten Cities and Ten Thousand Cities” of the Ministry of Science and Technology at the end of 2008, 10 cities were selected, and each city promoted the application of 10,000 LED lighting. In April last year, the Ministry of Science and Technology identified 21 cities to participate in the pilot project of the “Ten Cities and Ten Thousand Cities” project.

The enthusiasm for LED lighting has risen. Zhang Xiaofei pointed out that many cities applied for demonstration cities last year, regardless of whether there are LED companies in the local area or whether they have basic conditions. The high-tech LED statistics show that a total of 222,000 LED street lights were installed in 21 pilot cities last year.

Zhang Xiaofei pointed out that due to the lack of standards and government procurement biased to local enterprises, many immature LED street light products have entered the market. "We investigated 40 LED street light companies in China, and the results show that One-third of the companies started producing LED street lights within a year."

“LED street lights are too dark, and some roads are turned off.” This time has become an open secret in the LED lighting industry. Li Xuliang, chairman of the LED street light leading enterprise Qinshang Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. also revealed that some small manufacturers' products have indeed turned off the lights in the pilot projects in Zhuhai, Dongguan and Shenzhen.

From March to July last year, Shenzhen organized the most complete LED streetlight test to date, and 27 streetlights participated in the test. “There is no standard to say who is a qualified product, but the proportion of good products is not high.” Wu Chunhai, director of the Planning and Design Office of Shenzhen Lighting Environmental Management Center, revealed that compared with traditional street lamps, LED street lights have obvious advantages in small streets, but in cities. There is no advantage at all on the main road. Therefore, the new LED street lights in Shenzhen this year are still locked in 2000盏 to 3000盏.

After studying the test results in Shenzhen, Zhang Xiaofei pointed out that the test had a total of 1200 hours of lighting, but most of the products had a light decay of more than 10%, which obviously could not meet the goal of 50,000 hours of light decay below 30%. In addition to the immature technology, LED streetlight companies will face the challenge of acquiring new orders and acquiring new orders this year.

Based on the conclusions of the pilot, some local governments also slowed down in the early stage. "This year, Weifang will add 7,000 LED street lights, and previously installed 27,600 baht." Weifang City Street Light Management Office pointed out that the pilot project in Weifang reflected two problems. First, the traditional lighting power supply facilities lag behind LED lighting. In the footsteps, the second is the lack of standards, it is impossible to judge whether the LED street lights are qualified.

The relevant person of Baoding City Street Light Management Office also said that because LED street lights are not up to standard, the main street lights in Baoding City will still be based on sodium lamps, and LED street lights will be used in small streets and communities.

As of the end of 2009, Qinshang Optoelectronics has installed 150,000 LED street lights covering 35 cities across the country. As a new thing, LED street lights will inevitably lead to a lot of controversy. Although I dare not say that LED street lights are perfect, in order to eliminate the concerns of local governments, the projects received by Qinshang Optoelectronics generally require insurance companies to guarantee a five-year service life. "Of course, not every LED company street lamp product. There are insurance companies willing to guarantee." Li Xuliang said.

In fact, the biggest embarrassment for LED streetlight companies this year should be "no rice."

“There are more than 500 LED streetlight enterprises in the country.” Zhang Xiaofei pointed out that due to the shortage of glutinous rice, the mature LED enterprises adopt the first-package trial in the competition, with the aim of taking the lead in the first place, and the bigger the losses, the bigger the loss. There are still many companies that do not have enough practical experience, and the street lamps that are made are unqualified and cannot be sold; those who make qualified products are also unable to sell because of local protectionism.

Xu Xiaolei, deputy general manager of Guangzhou Jinlai Lighting Co., Ltd., who is doing LED indoor lighting, said that because the LED streetlight industry is too deep, almost no LED streetlight company is making money, so Jinlai Lighting has no plans to enter LED streetlights.

At the end of last year, Guangdong Province has set up a green industry investment fund, with a total investment of 25 billion yuan in the form of financial investment, to promote the use of LED street lights, and Guangzhou will be replaced with LED street lights within three years. Shenzhen plans to complete the renovation of the main road LED lighting in the city in 2015, requiring the installation of 264,000 baht. Wuhan strives to install 30,000 LED street lights in three years; Chongqing will arrange 240,000 LED street lights in the next five years; Tianjin will invest 1 billion yuan in the next three years to promote the application of 500,000 LED lighting.
